A SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENT

Ecoprogetti has recently completed the expansion of Almaden Morocco’s photovoltaic production line, bringing its total production capacity to 1GW, thus consolidating the largest PV module manufacturing plant in Morocco and North Africa. This development represents another milestone in the partnership between Ecoprogetti and Almaden, a collaboration that began with the delivery of the original 500MW line in 2018.

Morocco\’s new technology

The new line features the most advanced technology based on TOPCon G12 18BB half-cut cells, a system designed to ensure maximum efficiency and superior quality in glass-glass modules. With this technological upgrade, Almaden Morocco is positioned at the forefront of regional PV production, contributing not only to local innovation, but also to the growth and sustainability of the entire PV industry in North Africa.

Ecoprogetti not only supplied the entire production line, but also played a crucial role in the implementation and training of local staff, working closely with the Moroccan technical teams to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to the new production capacity. This joint effort is a perfect example of international synergy, where Italian expertise and local commitment come together to promote the sustainable industrialization of the territory.

The expansion of the Almaden line not only strengthens Ecoprogetti’s positioning as a leader in the photovoltaic sector, but also represents a fundamental step towards achieving common goals of sustainability and industrial growth in Morocco. “We are proud to share the same vision of supporting the Moroccan industry, creating jobs and building a green and sustainable future for all of us and future generations,” commented the Ecoprogetti team.

The installation started in July and production is scheduled to start by the end of October 2024. With this new capacity, Almaden Morocco will be able to produce high-efficiency modules, thus responding to the growing demand for quality renewable energy solutions in the African and global markets.

Ecoprogetti confirms itself once again as a reliable partner for companies wishing to invest in advanced technologies, thanks to a winning combination of technical expertise, innovation and continuous support at local and international level.
