Ecoprogetti delivers a new 800 mw solar panel production line in texas!

A NEW STRONG MANUFACTURER
ON AMERICAN SOIL

Ecoprogetti continues to strengthen its commitment to the U.S. solar manufacturing sector by developing advanced, market-specific machinery. As a key milestone in this initiative, the company has successfully delivered and installed an 800 MW state-of-the-art photovoltaic module production line for the company “CS Solar MFG LLC” in Texas.

The equipment provided are of the latest technology and the high level of automation allows to achieve a tact time below  >25 sec / panel. As advantage from any different competitor and Chinese equipment supplier,  the technology provided by ECOPROGETTI is fully UL-compliant and entirely adapted to the U.S. 480V electrical standards, eliminating the need for additional electrical compliance investment and cutting significant time-to-market for manufacturers.

Designed for high-performance solar panel production, this line is capable of manufacturing Half-Cut modules with efficiencies exceeding 22% with Bifacial Glass-Glass, PERC Technology. With a production capacity of over 2,100 modules per day, CS Solar MFG is set to make a significant contribution to the country’s growing solar energy market.

Ecoprogetti has integrated highly advanced automation solutions to minimize the need for on-site operators and significantly reduce manpower costs, a critical factor in the U.S. manufacturing landscape. This extreme level of automation allows operators to remotely analyze photovoltaic module quality and monitor production lines using AI-driven technologies, requiring on-site intervention only rarely as back-up.

Ecoprogetti
A Competitive Advantage
for U.S. Manufacturers

As the demand for domestically produced solar panels grows, manufacturers in the United States are seeking solutions that not only enhance production capacity but also optimize operational efficiency. Ecoprogetti’s manufacturing lines have been specifically developed with these needs in mind, offering a cost-effective alternative to competing solutions.

One of the key differentiators of Ecoprogetti’s technology is its focus on reducing operational costs (OPEX) while maintaining high performance. The company’s machines are designed to consume up to 30% less energy than competing systems, lowering electricity expenses and improving overall efficiency. Additionally, maintenance costs are extremely minimized, with component expenses kept below 0,5 % per year of the initial plant investment, ensuring long-term savings.

Automation also plays a critical role in Ecoprogetti’s approach. By integrating advanced automation and AI-driven monitoring, the need for on-site operators is significantly reduced, helping manufacturers address labor shortages and lower workforce-related costs. Furthermore, the company guarantees high throughput and yield levels, which are essential for achieving a faster return on investment (ROI).

With a strong emphasis on cost efficiency, energy savings, and streamlined operations, Ecoprogetti’s solutions are well-positioned to support the growth of U.S.-based solar manufacturing while enhancing the sector’s long-term sustainability.

“Ecoprogetti has been an amazing partner to US Modules/CSM on the installation and start-up of this fully automated module manufacturing line. The Ecoprogetti team’s service, expertise, and response have left us very pleased. We are looking forward to a long relationship together.”

US Modules
Meeting Demand and Leading the Way

The establishment of US Modules comes at a critical time. As of mid-2022, U.S. photovoltaic manufacturers were capable of servicing only 10-20% of domestic demand, leaving developers struggling to secure supply. The new Texas-based factory, equipped with Ecoprogetti’s advanced machinery, directly addresses this shortfall while advancing domestic photovoltaic panel manufacturing capabilities.

With its first production set to launch by the end of 2024, this facility will contribute significantly to local energy independence. Its carbon savings of 185,000 tons per year and ability to produce panels for both utility-scale and off-grid applications highlight the importance of domestic solar manufacturing in achieving sustainability goals.

A Shared Commitment to Excellence

Ecoprogetti has long been a pioneer in providing local support in the United States. As the first company in the industry to establish a U.S. Service Center, it has been operating since 2013 with a team of 15 local service engineers dedicated to assisting, maintaining, and training manufacturers across the region.

Ecoprogetti’s CEO, Laura Sartore, states:

“For us, the U.S. market will be one of the most strategic in the next five years. We are actively considering launching local manufacturing for our machinery—complementing the service operations we have maintained for over a decade—to better serve our customers with a stronger local presence.”

Ecoprogetti’s partnership with US Modules exemplifies innovation, collaboration, and dedication in driving the renewable energy transition. Together, they are not only addressing domestic solar panel shortages but also creating a foundation for a more sustainable future.
